Launch Today- Miss Mabel’s School for Girls

Never underestimate the power of a determined witch.

Letum Wood is a forest of fog and deadfall, home to the quietly famous Miss Mabel’s School for Girls, a place where young witches learn the art of magic.

Sixteen-year-old Bianca Monroe has inherited a deadly curse. Determined to break free before it kills her, she enrolls in the respected school to confront the cunning witch who cast the curse: Miss Mabel.

Bianca finds herself faced with dark magic she didn’t expect, with lessons more dangerous than she could have ever imagined. Will Bianca have the courage to save herself from the curse, or will Miss Mabel’s sinister plan be too powerful?

Miss Mabel’s School for Girls is the first novel in The Network Series, an exciting new fantasy collection. A gripping tale about the struggle to survive, it will take you to a new place and time, one you’ll never want to leave.

Nothing is as exciting as a launch day! Especially when it’s a book that you’ve been hearing about for ages and now have the chance to read.  I’ve been following Katie’s blog for a while and I love her style. A whole book of that is enough to make my fingers twitch.  I’ve got my holiday reading sorted out no, how about you?

Mslexia Diary Giveaway

Today there’s a copy of the Mslexia 2013 diary going spare.  This is an amazing diary made just for writers.  I love it for the following reasons;

  • It has a hard plastic outer cover to stop it getting bruised in your bag,
  • There’s loads of space for scribbling notes that wont get lost,
  • There’s an elastic band to hold it all together so you can slip scribbled notes between the pages and they don’t get lost either,
  • It’s full of other useful information like websites, competitions and events.

And if you don’t believe me go to their website here and read what the experts say.

The rules are;

  • As it’s New Year you can enter by leaving a comment below sharing your writerly resolution for 2013. For example, in 2013 I will be more organised with my blog updates – especially where diary giveaways are concerned,
  • It is a UK diary so UK entrants only please,
  • The giveaway will close on Thursday 3rd January 2013,
  • The winner will be chosen using,
  • I’ll announce the winner in a post here on 4th January 2013.

And as there was no Word of the Week this Wednesday go to Amazon and check out The Etymologican: A Circular stroll through the English Language here for only 0.99. I’ve got mine.
